We’re honoured that VOGUE Adria has featured Abitazione, one of Recdi8’s most detail-rich design collaborations, in their August 2025 issue — a celebration of Florence’s cultural revival and the places redefining how we travel through cities steeped in history.
Situated in the serene neighbourhood of Le Cure — just beyond the reach of tourist routes, yet deeply woven into the rhythm of local life — Abitazione is more than a boutique stay. It’s a Florentine residence reimagined through a contemporary lens, where Recdi8 had the pleasure of crafting interiors that pay homage to Renaissance grandeur while making space for modern living.
The VOGUE Adria feature praised this fusion, writing:

Emphasis is placed on light, order, symmetry, and space, in contrast to the rich velvets and damasks so typical of Florence’s opulent past. This assessment captures something core to the Recdi8 design philosophy — finding elegance in restraint and depth in clarity. VOGUE’s article details how the entire project reflects Florence itself in miniature — blending Renaissance, Baroque, and Neoclassicism with modern and contemporary styles. In each of the eight apartments, guests encounter handcrafted fixtures, restored architectural elements, and tactile details that feel more lived-in than staged — the hallmark of Recdi8’s layered approach.

About the Florence Project
Abitazione is a renovated neoclassical residence in the Le Cure district of Florence.
The space contains eight luminous apartments — each a tribute to the architectural history of the building and its city. The project merges 19th-century Florentine design with restored frescoes, Cocciopesto Veneziano flooring, and original detailing by Space Studio.
Recdi8’s interior design brings a balanced, textural modernism to the space, allowing heritage and innovation to sit side by side. The result is a refined, residential retreat for travelers who want to experience the true rhythm of Florence.
