Located in the Kaat Benahid quarter — the oldest part of Marrakech’s medina — Dar Al Dall is a peaceful retreat behind rose-coloured walls, wrapped around a lush internal courtyard and grounded in centuries of history. This Time Tomorrow, the visionary studio behind the project, commissioned Recdi8 to bring their narrative-driven approach to life through a complete renovation of this singular riad .
The article highlights how Recdi8 and local collaborators preserved the essence of Almoravid-era architecture while introducing a playful, elevated sensibility. Inspired by Andalusian, Moroccan, and European aesthetics, the design blends zellij tiles, brass lanterns, frescoed walls, and custom-designed furniture to create a luxurious but soulful space. A traditional charbagh courtyard is surrounded by just five suites, each uniquely styled and layered with textures and craft.
Dar Al Dall is more than a place to stay — it is an experience. With a resident cultural curator and a rotating programme of artist dinners, guided medina tours, and musical evenings, every guest leaves with a deeper connection to Marrakech.

About the Dar Al Dall Project
Dar Al Dall is a five-room boutique riad in Marrakech’s Kaat Benahid district, designed by Recdi8 in collaboration with local artisans, creatives, and the team at This Time Tomorrow.
The project reimagines a 1,076-square-foot grand riad from the Almoravid period into a tranquil retreat that balances heritage and modernity. Design elements include handmade zellij tiles, brasswork, carved wood screens, and richly textured textiles.
With curated guest experiences — from artist-led workshops to traditional Moroccan feasts — Dar Al Dall is designed to slow you down, wake up your senses, and reconnect you with the spirit of the city .
